Prof. Saraswathy

Assistant Professor

Saraswathy is a lawyer, with 3 years of legal research experience in the areas of intellectual property (IP) and data protection laws.

Saraswathy has worked in CUSAT (Kerala) on a project relating to the accessibility of learning materials to visually impaired persons in the State of Kerala, and in CIIPC on “Regulation of Digital Markets in the Context of Big Data, AI, and IoT.” Her initiation into University-level teaching was her Teaching Assistantship to Professor Feroz Ali, on the course “Regulating Artificial Intelligence”. She has also provided online teaching and research assistance for NPTEL’s IP law courses.

Saraswathy has completed her LL.M. in IP from the University of Edinburgh. She has done her B.A. LLB. (Hons.) from Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur. As her favourite character from Potterverse, Hermoine Granger, Saraswathy’s interest in academia stemmed from her love for books and libraries.

Outside the world of law, she is a music lover and is trained in Carnatic vocals.
